Dude, i am like the dummy of dummies! I was so sad coz i noticed that no one viewed my ''make your own hair products part 2'' last week. Well i guess what could have helped is to post it!!!!!!!!! Only a few days ago, i noticed that i forgot to press on that lovely ''publish'' button! Can you get any more silly?
And because i am a boring girl and like to keep a certain routine, which is post every Tuesday morning at 08:30 am just after my 50th cup of tea i thought i'd keep it for today!
So here it is. Enjoy!
Avocado mask
What dry hair absolutely luuurve is a good old Avocado mask. Mash the Avocado with one egg yolk and a teaspoon of honey (you'll love the color... not!) Apply this mask on dry hair before your shampoo. Put a shower cap on your head (avoid the towel man, the paste looks like baby poo) Put some music on, do a little scrub or something while the mask rest for 15 mins. Then shampoo and apply conditioner as usual.
fooking dry hair rescue
Now if you have really, like really dry and dehydrated hair, try that one.
blend 25 drops of rosemary essential oil into 5 cl of olive oil and leave in for one hour. Then shampoo and apply conditioner as usual.
Now if you have really dry hair it's probably down to the type of products you use so be sure to apply the right product for your type of hair. If you use hair straighteners, please, for the love of God, use a thermal protector. The GHD one is perfect! Can't wait to have GHD on the Mauritian Market again!
Did i tell you the story of the biatch who stole my GHD? OK OK OK i know you had enough of that story!
Hair loss
Do you also notice hair loss when it gets warm? Or is it just me? Mr Parker (My Dog) and i have the same pattern for our hair loss. Strange! Shit it hurts to call Mr Parker a Dog! He is not a dog, he is a little lovely cudly doobly bubbly coolllyyy doodoodoodoo baba!
Okay so
To promote hair growth and keep the hair follicles healthy, you will prepare a little magic potion with the following ingredients:
1 teaspoon of jojoba oil
15 drops of Rosemary essential oil
10 drops of Cedarwood essential oil
60ml of aloe vera gel.
Combine the jojoba oil with the rosemary and cedarwood essential oils. Mix the aloe vera gel and blend. Store it in a dark bottle. each night before going to bed massage one tablespoon of the mixture into your scalp.
You might have to bare a few odd looks because of the manly smell but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do!
Also, prepare this shampoo
for 250 ml of shampoo you will need. Well obviously 250 ml of shampoo! But get a neutral one like the Organic care one. You'll find it easily everywhere now. And you will need the following essential oils
30 drops of Rosemary essential oil
10 drops of Thyme essential oil
10 drops of Lavender essential oil
Blend the essential oil in the shampoo. This is your shampoo ladies and gentlemen! Massage is very important for circulation and hair growth so spend some time massaging your scalp when doing your shampoo. Close your eyes let the water massage your neck while massaging your scalp, imagine you are in Tahiti or i dunno, some other super sexy island with people riding horses at sunset on the beach. Ahem! So yeah spend some time massaging your scalp, let the mixture sit for three minutes, then rinse thoroughly. If you use a conditioner, remember, only the lengths, do not apply conditioner on the scalp! or as my old hairdresser would say, on the ''coco latete''
oily hair
Simple as abc. Just juice 2 lemons and mix to 1 liter of water and use this as final rinse after your shampoo and conditioner! Easy innit? want something more fun to prepare?
prepare your own shampoo with this:
take 1 table spoon of Green clay (pharmacies)
add a pinch of Salt (your kitchen)
Mix with some water until you get a creamy paste.
Apply to your hair and scalp. Massage for 3 minutes. ( gently you don't want to over stimulate the sebum production, it would be shooting yourself in the foot)
let it set for 15 mins and rinse with water only. For extra goodness you can add a few drops of vinegar to the final rinse water. I personally hate the smell of vinegar though. Yeah man that was a shampoo! Why because it didn't foam it means it didn't clean your hair? Bullpoo!!
You can apply some conditioner to untangle but i would personally recommend the scented oil of last week on the lengths, that will help untangle
Some shine for all hair types
Now that's a kind of servicing for your hair. The sun, pollution, smoke from ugly buses and lorries, long hours in the pool and stuff.
Ingredients:
The Mask
-2 to 3 egg yolks
-2 tablespoon of Rhum (yes, Rhum)
- 1 teaspoon of Almond oil.
The Final rinse
The juice of 2 lemons and 1 liter of water
Whisk the egg yolks, Rhum and almond oil in a creamy lovely paste. Dampen the hair and apply the preparation. Let set for 5 minutes and rinse with warm water. Warm yeah not hot. You don't want to end up with cooked egg yolks on your hair. You'll look like a giant walking scramble egg and that's not the look we want to achieve!
After you've washed the hair with water, Finish with the final rinse and dry as usual. Air dry is the best as far as i am concerned. But that's just because i have Curly hair.

Make your own hair products
So witches how did last week go? Anyone tried anything? Ok, on second thought maybe i won't want to know...
Lets go with hair today. Now that i've got hair again it's my main hobby. When we did the new bathroom, we had a special place made just for our hair products. I think i tried everything on the market. GHD, Aussi, Paul Mitchel, Nicky Clark, John Frieda,Umberto Gianini, Tony&Guy etc etc. I love hair products! Specially since i've got hair again :-)
But sometimes i make my own, Because it's fun and it works.
Dandruff
Once i a while i get dandruff, special in between seasons. I know, not glamorous and in Mauritius i can't even pretend that it's snow innit! There is only one product i know but i'm not sure about the Zinc in it. However it seems to work wonders on pimples and acne!! But i never tested it. So just for that i tend to prepare my little potions.
You will need
600ml of Apple juice ( no sugar)
600ml water
125 ml cider vinegar
5 drops of tea tree essential oils
2 Drops of Lavender Essential Oils
Mix the ingredients together and use it as a final rinse after shampoo and conditioner. You know you should use conditioner on the lengths only yeah. Once a hairdresser said, '' non non non vos cheveux vont se grainer si ze metre ca sur le coco latete'' I almost died trying not to laugh. It's mean though
Headlice

Yeah man, i'm not a mother yet (unfortunately) But i remember first days of primary school as being the nightmare of my mum because she just knew i'd come back with head lice. Oh shut up look at me in the eyes and tell me you never had little buggers in your long hair. I looked so stupid coz she sprayed my hair and gassed me with parapoux then did two braids, Yuk! Thank god i said adios to headlice when i left primary school!
So here is a recipe for you little ones.
This should be used on children over 5 years old. Not under!
You need 50 ml of non perfumed conditioner ( i get organic Care Conditioner, i got it from ebene Way, It's the most neutral i could find on the market in Mauritius)
3 Drops of Geranium Essential oil
4 Drops of Lavender essential oil
3 drops of Tea Tree
2 drops of Neem seed carrier oil
Mix all the ingredients.
here is the procedure for the treatment
Take the blend and massage onto the scalp
Leave the mixture in the head for half and hour or up to two hours.
Cover with a plastic cap to help absorption and stop the child from touching the hair. Careful mums, the eyes will sting like crazy if they get it into the eyes. This should be taken into consideration seriously. Never let essential oils getting into the eyes or mouth and mucous (e.g, women special parts)
Then comb the hair with the lice comb and get rid of those bastards.
Then rinse and shampoo as usual.
Do the first treatment every 4 days. Until they are all gone.
Scented hair Oil
If you want to smooth fly away fizzy hair after a blow dry or after using an iron here is a blissful oil. You can also use this before hair color for even absorption and protection from chemicals
You will need
25 drops of Lavender essential oil
25 drops of Sandalwood essential oil
5 drops of Clary Sage
Mix and keep in a dark glass bottle and use a drops when needed. I love the smell of this blend. You can also use a few drops on your brush or comb for a fresh scent that will get people thinking...
There are many many more tips but that will be it for today. Next week i'll go hair type by hair type. If i did all that on what post it would be the biggest post ever because i've got loads and loads to share.

Make your own love charms
No One but Ross can do a better description of Love!
What i'm gonna share with you today has to be practiced with care. Put a hand on your heart right now and promise that you will not use it to harm your partner or future partner. Common lets do it together '' i Swear to the almighty that i will not use these information against the will of one, or to cause harm to one and that i will not discuss my spells once they are released'' Done? Lets move on now.
Ok there's gonna be two parts here. The first will be on Aromatherapy things that will make their head turn and the other one will require another level of understanding and openness to weird things. Because yes, i'm a bit of a witch too. A good one though! Are you giggling and thinking that i'm off my nuts? Well think twice cause i could make your tongue go green and rotten. That's the bullshit part, no i cant do that. What i have done though is more spiritual stuff like reiki, meditation yoga. The one thing that is the base of witchcraft is turning a ''i wish i could'' Into ''thanks for what i can''See what i mean? What's the point in moaning ohh i wish i had a nice car instead how about changing the words to Thanks for this new car i am going to get soon... Doesn't it feel somehow better? Now try that with a smile...
Ok let's go with some ''aphrodisiac'' stuff first for those who are already in a relationship and want to surprise their man. Now i am extremely sensitive with the combination of the word ''massage'' and ''sensual'' Being a model AND a massage therapist was like having the word slut tagged on my forehead. I spent a lot of energy trying to keep my integrity and make the Mauritian understand that yes i am a model but no i do not go under the desk for contracts. Yes i am a massage therapist but no i do not give ''extras'' and in both cases yes i have a boyfriend and no i dont need a sugar daddy!! It really gets to me when i say '' massage'' and people have this little smile. Because it's a noble job and it gets on my nerves if people don't respect it. This said, we can move on to the more intimate part of massage that you as a girlfriend, wife or fiancee could give to your partner given that it's in the privacy of your home and not in a spa, beauty parlor or Salon! Sorry i am really sensitive on that! :-)
A BATH FOR TWO
So here is a simple bath salt recipe for you both if you have a bath tub or if you go on a romantic trip.
You will need:
225G of sea salt
125g Baking soda
30 drops of sandalwood essential oil
10 drops of clary sage essential oil
5 drops of Rose Essential oil
2 Drops of Ylang Ylang
Combine the salt and baking soda, add the oils drop by drop. Mix well and put in an airtight container. I personally prefer glass to plastic but i cant remember why. I know there's a good reason though! When you will have your bath dissolve four to eight tablespoons of the mixture when the tub is full! Trust me, the scent is heavenly and it will totally turn their heads!
Alternatively you can go for a bath oil, if you want to spend some time cleaning the mess after. I once did that and slipped because of the traces of oil! Bad and not romantic at all!
So you will need
2 tablespoons of jojoba oil

5 drops of patchouli essential oil

And essential oils too. So how about considering a sober romantic time?
Bedroom scent
Make sure you have put a nice scent in the bedroom, cherry scent is a proven head turner but lets make it fun and do our own bedroom fragrance.
For your own room spray you will need:
300ml of orange blossom flower or 300ml of water
6 drops of bergamot essential oil
10 drops of Clary sage essential oil
2 drop of jasmine
Mix all the ingredients in a sprayer bottle and spray in the bedroom. Avoid wood furniture though.
Alternatively you can use a burner and add 3 drops of bergamot essential oils, 5 drops of clary sage and 1 drop of jasmine. Careful if you are using a candle burner. You don't want to end up having to call the firemen too. Use an electric burner, it's much safer in general.
The Massage
Jesus, i found it extremely hard to write massage here because it's going to be for a different thing than therapeutic. But let's stay cool. You understand that i am a professional right?
Ok so for the... m.a.s.s.a.g.e oil you will need

You engaged people want a little witchcraft for your lover too? Now shhh don't say that to my boyfriend but guess why we are still together after 5 years of distance relationship. Yep there is magic in the air!
A simple way to make sure they have you in mind is to find out about his birthstone and infuse it with your loving energy. But first you will need to do this little ritual to clear all other energy from the stone.
First find out about his birthstone. I can help you with that if you want me to. When you go to buy it ( there's a great feng shui shop in Quatres-Bornes where they sell crystal pendents.
